Richard Higgins

Book for an event

Richard Higgins is one half of the Melbourne based comedic duo The Listies. Together with Matt Kelly, he makes and performs comedy for kids and adults. The Listies met during theatre class at uni, but they enjoyed performing together so much they decided to make it official.

Their show for kids called More Fun than a Wii was the first show for kids nominated for the best show award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2010. It went on to tour nationally and internationally, receiving rave 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Their first book, Ickypedia, is an encyclopedia of words that don't exist but should. Their second book, Ickyfoodia, is a gross and totally hilarious ‘encyclopedia of food’. To date, they have written nine award-winning and critically acclaimed live shows, collaborated with most major theatre companies and festivals in Australia, toured 3 continents, recorded three albums, and published two books with four books on the way. You can see them on ABC with their shows ’The Listies Work For Peanuts’ and 'Art Blast', and their music video ‘Wash Your Hands’ (with Zoe Coombs Marr and muso Ryan Ritchie).
