Asha Miro



Asha Miró is a bestselling author, television presenter and documentary film maker. Born in Nasik, India, she has lived in Barcelona since she was adopted by a Catalan family.

The first part of her story of her search for her blood family, Daughter of the Ganges, became a No.1 bestseller in her adopted country and inspired a cartoon series, with a seven-year-old Asha as its protagonist.

Asha also has a growing international profile for her work as a spokesperson on adoption. A former music teacher, she has published two children’s books, and is working on a new book on adoption and a collection of children’s stories.
