About

The Good Girl of Chinatown - the true story of a good girl from a suburban Australian-Chinese family who becomes a Shanghai Showgirl...

Join host Rusell Cheek, dyed-in-the-wool Bondi local, quizz champ and thesp, at the inaugural Badlambs' Literary Salon for a spoken word performance and book signing by natural born story teller Jenevieve Chang.

Jenevieve is an actor, writer, movement geek and recovering showgirl. After skipping Australia to train in London, Jenevieve moved to Shanghai and became part of China’s first Vaudeville, Variety and Burlesque club, called Chinatown.

Presented in excerpts on the night as a spoken word performance The Good Girl of Chinatown is a true story of cultural clash and hedonism gone awry. It is a story about the boundaries we choose to cross and the roles we choose to play.

7 pm for a 7.15 start - limited capacity, ticketed event.
