Kate Forsyth is the author of adult novels which include Bitter Greens, which won the American Library Association Award for Best Historical Fiction, and The Wild Girl, which was inspired by the true story behind the Grimm brothers' collection of their famous fairy tales. She has also written many books for children, including The Chain of Charms series, which won five Aurealis Awards for Best Children's Fantasy, and the bestselling Impossible Quest series.

Kate Forsyth's latest book, BEAUTY IN THORNS is set in 1890, when the Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones finished a monumental series of paintings inspired by ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Greeted with ecstasy by the public, it sold for a record 15,000 guineas and made the artist a rich and famous man. Told by the voices of four extraordinary women – the wives and mistresses and muses of the famous artists of the Pre-Raphaelite circle – BEAUTY IN THORNS tells the story of love, desire, obsession and tragedy that lies behind the creation of this famous depiction of Sleeping Beauty.

Kate Forsyth will be speaking about and reading from BEAUTY IN THORNS, answering audience questions, and signing books. Don't miss your chance to hear this master storyteller speak in person!
