About the authors

Deborah Kelly

Deborah Kelly grew up in New Zealand and Australia but has also lived in Scotland and Japan. She studied Marine Biology at James Cook University in Queensland but has always been passionate about art, film, books and writing. She wrote her first series of picture books (which she still has) when she was seven. Deborah now writes stories for children of all ages as well as Haiku poetry which has been published in various forms. She lives with her husband and two children in New South Wales, Australia.

Karen Blair

Karen grew up in Perth, Western Australia. She loves to create picture books that celebrate the joys and adventures of childhood. She lives in Fremantle with her husband, two children and a little dog called Dobby, who keeps her company in the studio. Karen’s award-winning books include Something Wonderful and Hello From Nowhere by Raewyn Caisley, With Nan by Tania Cox, Granny Grommet and Me by Dianne Wolfer, Me and You by Deborah Kelly, Train Party, Baby Beats and Baby Animal Farm.
